Water-based adhesives
United States Patent 11407926 B2 · Filed: 04/24/2020 · Published: 08/09/2022

Articles made from connected rubber components may be joined together with adhesive. In some applications, adhesives may be the primary option for joining components, particularly when mechanical methods such as stitching are not available, such as in articles that function as air or moisture barriers. For example, rubber air springs and tires include separate rubber components that are joined with adhesives. Retread tires also may employ adhesive to join the new tread to the carcass, or to adhere an intermediate cushion layer to a carcass and/or a tread.
While two similar rubber components can be joined and then cured at the same time and obtain a strong bond at the joint, this method of joining rubber components is not preferable for some manufacturing processes where it is desirable to join the components and store them and/or allow them to cure slowly. Rubber adhesives may be used to provide tack to a rubber component while a rubber article is cured or stored.
Interesting technology that uses terpenes, liquid or solid as part of a waterborne rubber adhesive to join (by penetration) rubber components (above) at slow controlled rates.
Dissolved C60 and method of producing dissolved C60
United States Patent 11400113 B2 · Filed: 10/23/2020 · Published: 08/02/2022

Innovation for Success, LLC (Doylestown, PA, US)
Inventors:
Heflich, Leonard W. (Doylestown, PA, US)
Monlux Jr., George W. (St. Petersburg, FL, US)
This patent is a disclosure of methodology to make concentrated solutions of C60 (Buckyballs) in limonene and methods to administer this C60 by inhalation, to a patient, that is claimed, but not proven in this document. This invention is a combination of physical chemistry, medicine, and biology. If this technology is as good as the inventors claim, it is the cat’s meow of medicine. It will be interesting to learn the results of full medicinal testing of this solubilized C60. Its well worth the reading regardless.

The present invention relates to a method of purifying recycled or renewable organic material, in particular recycled or renewable organic material comprising more than 20 ppm chlorine (Cl). The invention is based on the surprizing realization that recycled or renewable organic material containing high amounts of chlorine (Cl) may be purified by a method that leads to removal of Cl from the recycled or renewable organic material as the recycled or renewable organic material is subjected to purification to remove Cl and to obtain a purified recycled or renewable organic material, and then hydrotreated in a presence of a hydrotreating catalyst at a temperature from 270 to 380° C
I would have thought someone would have tried this process by now, but I guess not.
